Illinois – AMSOIL5

For the third time in less than a month I’ve encountered this car on the road at the same exit/entrance ramp on I-88 on both the westbound and eastbound sides. Super aggressive driver, has to drive well over 90mph for how quickly they pass people, they tailgate incessantly and constantly flash brights even when cars cannot move over. If you try to change lanes but are not doing it fast enough for them, even if you’re already halfway into the other lane, they will floor it around you without even fully getting into the other lane and will almost sideswipe you in the process. I watch them do this to me and every other car they pass: tailgating, excessive speeding, swerving around, and cutting others off, including while trying to get onto the exit ramp on the highway. I don’t know the make because they’re going too fast to get a good look but I doubt it’ll be the last time I see them. I also don’t have a photo since I’m also driving every time I see them. The car isn’t as big as a ford explorer/expedition (the cop car model) but its definitely a 4-door SUV.

As rush hour kicks in and everyone is eager to head home around 3 PM, I find myself easing into the turning lane amid increasingly tight traffic. With a green light in the right turning lane, we begin to move forward. Suddenly, the driver in front of me reacts unpredictably and slams on their brakes. To avoid a collision, I quickly steer my car onto the roadside. In a reckless maneuver, that driver swerves into the next lane, narrowly missing two other vehicles, before speeding away toward Cedar, Iowa, their likely home.

It’s truly frustrating to witness such dangerous behavior, especially when there was ample space—enough for a bike to squeeze through—between us. Clearly, this individual was upset after a long day at work, but such a reaction is entirely uncalled for. What could have been a routine drive turned into a potential disaster, all because of a moment of poor judgment.

I was on Airport Blvd waiting at the stop light. Out of nowhere this unhinged psycho who should not be driving all of a sudden cuts me off when the light hasn’t turned green yet. I then go into the 101 south heading toward San Bruno and I’m on the carpool lane. This petty scum gets inpatient and doesn’t want to drive behind the Pepsi truck and at the last minute right when I’m about to merge on the freeway flies by and cuts me off again because my daughter started recording. They were trying to maliciously cause an accident that could’ve been fatal. All unprovoked. They were looking to start problems and felt emboldened because of the type of car and all their windows were tinted.
